John had been with us for about 5 months.  During this time he would not allow ANYONE to touch him in any way.  One day while going to the store he said that he loved me and I could hug him.  This was a real turning point in his life and ours.  He stayed with us and continues to stay with us.  He is now 22 years old, and still wants hugs.
