The “Leave Your Mark” campaign is our effort to honor our foster parent (ie. Treatment Parent Specialists) and the community for their contribution to the welfare of Therapeutic Foster Children. Each year, any individual, an organization or a community leader who has shown outstanding support for children in-need is honored with the Leave Your Mark Award. The award contains a plaster cast of a child’s hand.  Each hand-print includes the child’s foster care story, in his or her own words, and is a unique reminder not only of the adult’s impact on the child, but the child’s impact on the world around them.

 

The honoree also receives a Bench with colorful paint-dipped hand-prints to be displayed wherever the recipient wishes. Click here to find out about our 2008 Honorees.

“The symbolism of the children’s hand prints is fundamental to our campaign,” said Douglas C.
